Ok so lets be honest. We work hard, right? School, chores, extracurricular practice- not to mention keeping up with our adults. So, we totally deserve a fun spring break. There’s no better time to try out new things, explore, and have fun with the family and friends. Basically, besides summer, this is the only time we can truly relax and unwind. Spring break is right around the corner. Here are some tips to make your break a great one.
Create a Plan With Friends
Whether you’re going on a vaca, to the pool, or just planning games at home all day, doing it alone can’t be as fun as having your friends around. Call up your favorites and come up with your fun plan for maximizing every second. Be creative with this and have fun thinking about the new things you can do together.
Start experimenting with a new recipe, YouTube some DIYs or come up with a fun game. Making something new will be fun in 2 ways- creating the thing and then using/eating/playing with the thing you created. Below are some of the things you can do solo or with friends this spring:
- Make friendship bracelets
- Try some new smoothie recipes.
- Make a solar catcher
- Decorate or paint eggs
- Design a spring diary
- Develop a new snack mix
- Make a video clip together
- Make earrings together
- Tie die a shirt
- Invent a dance or song (or both!)
- Make lip gloss together
- Pretend it’s Halloween and dress up
- Make a cartoon character
- Make slime
- Build a massive fort
Grow Something Together
Spring is the ideal time to begin growing plants. Maybe you have a yard to use, or a community patch that could use a spruce. Here are some tips:
- Choose a colorful selection of wildflowers
- Find beans or other easily grown vegetables
- Take pics of the garden every day until the plant is completely grown.
Spring is the perfect time to walk around and explore your neighborhood. So, move together with your friends and practice some healthy habits, away from the electronics indoors. Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Watch the sunrise and watch it set.
- Go on a picnic
- Camp in your backyard.
- Attend a baseball game.
- Take your pets for a long walk.
- Scout for some camping opportunities.
- Visit historical sites.
These are just a few tips to get you started. Whatever you do, make sure you get out, enjoy the spring weather, and have fun!
