GGC: What was the first acting or live singing project you can remember and were you nervous?

CC: My 1st “big” singing project was when I was 9 and sang the national anthem for LA Lakers at the Staples Center. I was so nervous that I sang the anthem in a higher key than I was used to. Thankfully, it wasn’t so bad.

GGC: What TV show are you totally into right now?

CC: The Fosters [and] Switched at Birth.

GGC: What is the hardest part about singing in front of a group of people?

CC: The hardest part is seeing the audience. I do get nervous thinking they are going to judge me. I try to overcome it by looking above the audience, at the horizon or stare at one thing when I sing.

Chelsea understands the importance of sticking up for yourself, and working hard for the things you want.

GGC: What advice would you give a girl that is being picked on at school?

CC: Don’t allow others to make you feel small. Maybe it’s easier said than done, but being brave and standing up for yourself is the 1st step. Don’t be afraid to tell an adult about bully behavior.

GGC: Do you feel like singing is harder or acting?

CC: I have always been into singing. I knew I wanted to sing since I was 6 years old and it came natural. Acting was harder because I had to learn how to act. It took a lot of training before I learned acting.

GGC: What’s your favorite place you’ve ever traveled?

CC: I have been traveling since I was a toddler and have been to many countries all over Asia. I love traveling and touring different places and seeing different cultures. My favorite is in the USA and it is New York City. I love NYC! Maybe because one of my dreams is to be in Broadway.

Beautiful day in NYC #centralpark #newyorkcity

GGC: Which celebrity would you most want to work with someday and would you rather sing with them or act with them?

CC: I love Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande and would love to sing with them one day!

Just for fun:

GGC: Would you rather have to wear your hair in the same style for a year, or not get any ice cream and pizza for a year?

CC: That’s hard but I think It’s not so bad to have the same hair style all year. I love ice cream and pizza!

GGC: Do you ever do something super silly when no one is watching?

CC: I don’t really do anything silly. I like to record song covers sometimes when I am alone.
